If you thought Summer 2018 was drama-filled thus far, just wait until you hear what Tyga said about Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott on Nicki Minaj‘s Queen radio show. During Thursday night’s broadcast, Nicki hopped on a call with the rapper where he threw some serious shade at his ex-girlfriend – and let’s just say he didn’t bite his tongue… not even a little.
For starters, he decided to shade Kylie on Nicki’s radio show less than two weeks after the “Chun Li” rapper began feuding with Travis and Kylie ahead of the 2018 MTV VMAs. Shady AF, but anyway… It’s what he said that really has us all raising some eyebrows. He not only cleared up how he really feels about Kylie following their split, but he even took credit for putting her and her beauty empire on the map!
While talking about the fact that the 21-year-old is on her way to becoming one of the youngest self-made billionaires (a term that, yes, is a little controversial), Tyga said he played a part in her massive success. But wait, there’s more! Tyga also claimed that he influenced her Kylie Lip Kits, too. “I had a lot to do with all that, which I don’t need credit for,” he said. “I don’t need to go online and tell people I did this and I’m the one helping her come up with these colors and names on her…lip line. It was a lot of stuff.”
“She always had a platform and she was always destined to be what she was going to be regardless, but, when I stepped in, there was a lot of codes being taught,” Tyga continued. “It was like, you could do this, you should start this, you should start doing your hair like this.”
The pair had an on-and-off relationship for three years and split for good in April 2017. When asked if he missed Kylie, he replied, “Nah, I’m good. I’m good love, enjoy” before revealing that there’s no bad blood between them. “I’m not a bitter person,” he said. “If we break up, we break up. We had a good time and kept moving, and we went our separate ways and we’re both doing good.”
Tyga then addressed the rumors about his ongoing feud with Kylie’s new boyfriend, Travis. He insists that he doesn’t have any issues with the rapper – even though he’s previously suggested Travis and Kylie daughter, Stormi Webster, is actually his. “We ain’t got no beef. It’s his time right now,” Tyga said on the show. “You gotta let it ride. I ain’t got no beef with him.”
If you say so, Tyga! But it’s safe to say that Kylie and her famous fam – especially Kris Jenner – might not appreciate the fact that he publicly shaded his ex and made it seem like he made her.
During a past episode of Life with Kylie, the beauty mogul revealed that there was nothing wrong with her relationship with Tyga and that they will “always, always have a bond.” We wonder if she’ll feel that same way after she hears what he had to say during his interview. Yes, the two may have dated at the same time she was building her empire, but to say he “put her on the map” is just nuts. If anything, she’s the one who made him and his music relevant for a little while.
