The Mystery of Who Bit Beyoncé Has Finally Been Solved

It’s been months since Tiffany Haddish teased us by telling us she witnessed someone bite Beyoncé at a party, and now, the mystery has finally been solved. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tiffany revealed who bit Beyoncé once and for all, and it’s probably not who you though it was.

In case you’re a little fuzzy on the details, let us refresh your memory. Basically, in a GQ profile released earlier this year, Tiffany claimed that she’d witnessed someone bite Beyoncé in the face at a Hollywood party, and the story was wild.

“Near the end of the party, Beyoncé’s at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill,’” Tiffany told the magazine.

But even though she was willing to share the story, she didn’t open up about who the biter was… until now. The hashtag #WhoBitBeyonce started trending almost instantly, and it’s safe to say that we, the people, needed answers. So during her Hollywood Reporter chat, Tiffany confirmed that one of the original suspects, Sanaa Lathan, was indeed the perpetrator.

“I’m super good friends with her stepmom and her dad, and they were mad at me,” Tiffany said. “They were like, ‘Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it’s so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?’ But I didn’t try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin’ to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down.”

That’s fair. Tiffany did avoid naming The Beyoncé Biter for as long as she could. It was all going to come to light sometime, right?

We can’t help but wonder if Sanaa is going to share her side of the story, now that she’s been officially outed. After all, she originally denied that it was her back in May while talking to Health, calling the rumors absurd and saying that she’d never do anything “malicious” to Queen B or anyone else. Was she telling the truth, or has she officially been caught in a lie?

Now that this case has finally been put to rest, we feel like we can breathe. Any time Tiffany wants to share more of her observations from being a Hollywood insider, we’re down for it. Judging by this story alone, we have a feeling there’s more where that came from.
