As you may have heard, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged! The couple announced the happy news on Monday during a brief appearance in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace. There, Meghan flashed her beautiful engagement ring and Harry told reporters that he knew she was “the one” from “the very first time we met.” SWOOOOON! However, the cuteness did not end there since the two had their first joint interview, where they discussed how they met, how Harry proposed, and more! The best part of all, though, came after the interview was over.
BBC released behind-the-scenes outtakes from the interview – and let’s just say we love the Royal couple even more! Aside from the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan could not keep their hands off one another, the two can be seen goofing off like the lovebirds they are. Unfortunately, it happened when their mics were turned off, but that doesn’t take away from how adorable they are.
Watch the outtakes below!
Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan gushed about Prince Harry’s proposal. “It was just an amazing surprise,” the former Suits star said. “It was just so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee. As a matter of fact, I could barely let [him] finish proposing. I was like, ‘Can I say ‘yes’ now?’”
Prince Harry also went into detail about how he was immediately smitten with Meghan as soon as they met. Could you blame him? She’s so beautiful. He even brought up his late mother, Princess Diana, and how he’s sure she and Meghan would probably have been “thick as thieves.”
“It’s days like today when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news,” he shared. “She would be over the moon jumping up and down, so excited for me. I’m sure she’s with us, jumping up and down somewhere else.”
As for when the Royal wedding will happen, it was just announced that it will take place in May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

“Windsor is a very special place for Prince Harry, and he and Ms. Markle have regularly spent time there during the last year,” a spokesperson said via People. “They are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives as a married couple.”
There’s so much to look forward to when it comes to the future of these two. Their wedding, their eventual pregnancy announcements, etc. Not to mention the adorable photos we’ll all get to see of Prince George and Princess Charlotte attending the wedding all dressed up and playing with Harry and Meghan’s babies one day. UGH! We’re counting down the days until May 2018.
